Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

On hearing this, Jesus said to them,“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
