Plot Twistნიმუში

What moment in your life would you describe as your happiest moment? Who were you surrounded by? What kind of feelings did that moment bring you along with happiness? Now imagine something happening that changed the course of that moment, maybe a mistake was made, or something unplanned happened. We can’t expect life to be perfect and full of happy moments all the time — that’s just not reality. Sometimes, when we have an opportunity to be happy, we drag our mistakes or shame into the mix and allow them to steal our joy.
In Psalm 51, the author is broken by his own mistakes and sins. His prayer is that he would be forgiven and that joy and gladness would be restored to him. The promise given to us by Jesus is that his joy would be restored to us through the love he’s given. Happiness might not be a permanent feeling we’ll experience, but we can allow ourselves to be happy and not let mistakes steal our joy.
What mistakes are you holding on to that are stealing your happiness?
