A Matter of Faith

Love, sacrifice, and submission — they can each be difficult! One leader proposed that the reason Paul asks wives to submit to husbands, and husbands to love their wives, is because it requires so much more faith that way. In our natural selves, many wives find it easier to love, and many husbands find it easier to submit. However, God’s way is always the way of faith.



Prayer: Lord in heaven, You sacrificed so much for us in giving us your Son. It’s almost impossible to imagine. I need to learn to love like that. Like Jesus, I also need to learn to submit like that. Your will, your glory, needs to be my whole desire. Thank you for your patience. Help me to grow in faith and obedience today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
