A True Mystery

How can two become one? How can an infinite God dwell in finite man? These are profound mysteries indeed. Nevertheless, Paul best illustrates the mystery of Christ and His church by using the common, though extraordinary, example of husband and wife, groom and bride. On the surface level we know how it works. However, go a little deeper, and we know there is no other relationship on Earth like it. The union sparkles and sizzles with intense mystery.



Prayer: Lord in Heaven, there is so much I don’t understand. As I read your word and meditate on it, I sometimes just stop in awe and wonder. It is too much, too deep, too complicated. Yet, I know it is so simple that a child can grasp it in faith. Thank You for the wonder of Your salvation, and the awesome connection between Christ and His church. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
