Why They Do What You Do

Elisha didn't just get Elijah’s instructions; he got his spirit. As a leader, you are a "spiritual ancestor." If your church is riddled with gossip or rivalry, look at the shadow you are casting. People rarely rise above the character of their leaders. If we want a congregation that is radical in love and sacrifice, we must be the first ones in the crucible of transformation. You don't just teach what you know; you reproduce who you are.

Reflection/Action: Look at the "spiritual DNA" of your church or team. What traits are they picking up from you? Write down three qualities you want to "impart" and ask God to grow them in you first.

Prayer: Jesus, let my life be a worthy template for others. Transform me so that the "spiritual DNA" I pass on is healthy, holy, and full of Your love. Amen.
