Becoming In FaithExemplo
The second stage is the stage of becoming. This is the stage where you start to get into the word and you start to realize who God says you are and who the stranger says you are. In the unbecoming stage, you only listen to the voice of the stranger. You have no ear for the shepherd. In the becoming stage, you are still hearing both. You hear the voice of the stranger, but you are starting to hear the voice of the shepherd because you put in the word. This is a stage where there is a lot of struggle because you don’t know which voice to listen to. Which one is really the right voice? Which one is really true?
This is the time to be saying the word aloud over yourself. Write it on your mirror. As you think in your heart, you will become. You are a new creation and it’s time to speak what God says about you: “I have the mind of Christ. I am loved. I am enough. I am smart. I am quick. I’m bright. I’m sharp. I’m a total blessing. I’m beautiful. I’m very rich.” You may not believe these truths at first, yet there is a hope building inside you that believes it could actually be true.
This becoming season can be long. For me, it went forever and ever, just continuing to become. I’m still in it. You can be completely free in one area but in complete bondage in another area. We are constantly growing in these stages. But this stage is awesome because you are reading the word and you are falling in love with God.
In this stage, you haven’t overcome the battle. You’re probably still easily getting offended. You might be dealing with some bitterness. But you will overcome. Recognize and rejoice that this season is passing quickly. Start praising God. “Thank you, God, that this is who you made me. I don’t believe it yet, but thank you.” The more you seek him in the secret place and read his word, the quicker you will sail through this stage!

Sobre este plano
In this reading plan, we are going to talk about the three stages to becoming like Christ. First, Unbecoming - which we are all unbecoming before Christ; The Becoming Stage - as we are learning to take our thoughts captive; and finally, the I Have Become who God says I am. Do you want to love others well? Then let’s become who God already says we are!
