Beautiful Feet

Oh, how beautiful are the feet of those who tell the good news of God’s love for the world. We tend to think that only those who go out to places like China, Mexico, the Congo, and the Philippines are the ones spreading the Good News. In reality, all of God’s children are sharing the good news of God’s love for this world. He has made us a new creation, and it is in our DNA to share His love for others… you can’t help it once you truly experience it!

That is why many people decide to leave what they know at home, and go out to the different parts of the world to share His great love. Families who leave their country to go and face all kinds of obstacles are often not any different from your family. These are families who have children who are seniors in high school, grandparents who would like to spend more time with their grandkids, and young parents who wish they had their neighbors and relatives to support them while they raise a family. However, when God places the desire in their hearts to go, they answer the call. It may not be a glorious call, nor will it make their name great, but that was never the intent. The intent is to make His name known.

Jesus said to the Father, "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." We learn from Jesus, who was not seeking His own glory but that of the Father. Jesus knew the Father loved him, and that is why He selflessly left His home, everything He knew, and came down to Earth. He wanted to tell the world about the Father's great love for us. He made disciples, who in turn made disciples. That is how the Gospels came to be written—people sharing with people the love of God which was made known to men through His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus has the most beautiful feet, which still bring us the wonderful news about a Father who was willing to sacrifice everything to reach out to us in love.
