Beautiful Feet Exemplo
The Gospel has Not Changed
God has not changed, and the Holy Spirit is with us as He was with the church in New Testament times. Jesus loves His church. Paul writes in Ephesians 5 that Jesus “gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.” Christ did this so that in us He would be the light of this broken world. He, in us, is our hope of glory. There is nothing that we can do that will get us closer to the glory of God. It is only by His grace that we can be cleansed and be able to carry His glory as the Body of Christ. It is important that we understand this as a church. We are not only introducing people to Jesus, we are allowing them to see Him in us. If Jesus lives in us, we bring the Good News everywhere we go.
Jesus’ disciples experienced God’s glory as they walked with Him. Those who were with Jesus from the beginning were able to testify everywhere they went of His glory. Those disciples were able to reproduce themselves in others as they shared their experiences. And when Jesus asked His disciples to go and make disciples, He was sure to tell them not to go anywhere until they had received power from the Holy Spirit. Because of the Holy Spirit’s help, the church of Jesus Christ can be planted anytime, in any culture, and it will produce fruit – the fruit that Jesus intended.
Maybe you know you were called to do missions in another country. Or perhaps it is your calling to serve and spread God’s love in your very own city. Maybe it's your next door neighbor who you're praying will come to Jesus. As His child, you are called to share His name. Let's say a prayer that through His Spirit He guides your beautiful feet where they should go:
“Dear Lord Jesus, just like you asked Your disciples not to go anywhere until they knew they were operating under the power of the Holy Spirit, I invite the Holy Spirit to guide my feet where You want them to go. I know that only He will produce the fruit that You intended when You started building Your church. I know that Your heart has not changed and I want to be a light to the world. I want to be faithful to Your call. In Your Name, Amen.”

Missions have been in the heart of the Heavenly Father since the beginning of time. That is why He places the desire in His children to disciple the nations to reach the world, to go out and tell the Good News of His love to others around the globe, and He equips them with the Holy Spirit for the challenges they'll face as they go out with their beautiful feet.
