Ask, Seek, Knock: The Promise Of Matthew 7Exemplo
KNOCK
The door won’t open if you don’t have permission.
Think about that – what if all it took to get into any building in the world was to knock on the door. That would be ridiculous! It would be chaos.
Doors are placed strategically to protect. To keep some things in and some things out and allow only those with permission.
Access is valuable.
In this verse, God doesn’t tell us exactly what is behind the door we want to knock on.
But what He does clearly tell us is this: we have permission.
We have access to the “good gifts” our Heavenly Father has stored up for us.
This is amazing!
This changes everything!
We don’t knock in an effort to see IF we might get in.
We knock because we know we’ve already been INVITED in.
What if instead of trying to figure out what the limitations of Matthew 7 were, we simply accepted the most scandalous, unadulterated, grace-filled, love-overflowing version of this passage?
What if the good things you wanted for yourself and your loved ones – God wanted too. And not in a religious sort of way. But in a vibrant, chase you down, sloppy wet kiss, just-ask-me-already sort of way!
What if when the Bible says ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened…it really meant it?
What if today was the day everything began to change because the way you think God sees you began to transform?
If you would like to dive deeper into the promise of Matthew 7 and the power of your faith, this is for you.
