For I DesireExemplo
More Than Burnt Offerings.
“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.” Hebrews 10:4-6 KJV.
Nothing can take away your sin except the Blood of Jesus. There is no substitute. He is your Redeemer and the only answer to the complete removal of sin. Desire to seek God. Desire to surrender to Him. Let your hunger and thirst for Him outweigh your desire for the things of this world.
Choose to crave Him. Matthew 5:6 KJV declares, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” In the Old Testament, burnt offerings were a temporary solution to cover and atone for the sins of man — the problem was that this was a temporary solution. Every year the priest had to atone for the sin of the people — the Law was temporary. The law pointed to Christ. Christ fulfilled the law. He was the Word in the flesh. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 KJV.
The Blood of Jesus Christ satisfied the permanent payment for our sin. Through His Blood we are redeemed and reconciled back to God. Burnt offerings were temporary — Jesus was the new Covenant that satisfied and fulfilled the old.
Let the old way of doing things go. Let go of the old man and surrender your heart to Jesus. Stop holding on to the things of the past and embrace your future in Christ. Receive Christ and be set free. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV
