Moments for Mums: Generosity - Part 2Exemplo

It is easy to see needs around our world, even in our daily interactions. But seeing a need means nothing if we do not respond to it. If my daughter were to come to me hungry, I wouldn’t avert my eyes from her. I would meet her need, having pre-planned for it, expecting it. In the same way, I plan to feed my family through budgeting, meal planning, and shopping. I need to make margin in my life to meet the needs of those I see around me. There are lots of opportunities: a friend who has a sick child; a sponsor child who needs my $48 a month to attend school and have their basic needs met; a child in my community who needs a safe home for a while. 

God wants us to do more than see the needs. He wants us to look at what we have to give to the situation and generously meet the need with passion and love.

Thank you, Jesus, that your love exists for all of us. Help me see what needs are around me and how I can generously meet them with the gifts you have given me.
