Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"Exemplo
We have been discussing Jesus' sacrifice on the cross these few days. It is through His sacrifice that we receive the salvation that transforms our lives. We are a new creation as our old sinful self is no more.
However, change doesn’t happen overnight. It doesn’t mean that once we receive Christ, then we will never sin again. On the contrary, we enter a process that molds our character to possess Christ-like character. And do you know that it takes a long time? It actually takes a lifetime, for as long as we live on earth.
The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Colossian about this. He said that sins from our past, such as anger, rage, malice, slander, and any evil desire should be thrown away. We are to put on our new self that is constantly renewed by the Word of God.
How do we experience the change? The key is the Bible. We ought to keep reading the Bible, meditate upon it, and put it into action. Only the Word of God has the power to transform our lives and help us to develop Christ-like character.
Devotion for Parents
The Word of God is not just something you read. It has the power to transform lives.
How often do you hear, read, meditate, and do the Word of God? Do you fill your heart and mind with the Word?
Devotion for Kids
We will know God’s will by reading the Bible every day and actually doing it. So, reading the Bible is really important. Have you read your Bible today?
Family Devotion Time
Do a memory verse challenge every day for the next week.
Each family member may choose their own verse, but they have to memorize and say it during daily devotional time.
After a week has passed, continue the next week! Until it becomes a habit.

After we accept Jesus as God and Savior, our lives will change and our character will be renewed to become more and more like Him every day. What kind of life should followers of Christ have? What values do we need to hold? During this month we will invite the children to learn about this and teach them the values of truth that they should have in their lives.
