The Gospels – MessiahExemplo
Jesus the Messiah is our King, He never wore a gold crown encrusted with jewels, but He is the King of kings, the greatest King of all. An earthly king presides over a nation or an area of land. Jesus is King over everything; Jesus says that His kingdom is not a kingdom of this world but a kingdom from heaven.
Through the Gospels, we see Jesus teaching about the Kingdom of God, usually in Parables - short and simple stories that always had a meaning. These parable word pictures help us understand a new way of living. Jesus would say, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like….” He described His Kingdom as a treasure buried deep in a field, hidden and then discovered, so prized that someone would sell everything they have to gain it.
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like…” and spoke about a precious and cherished pearl of great price.
And again, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like..” And He described a tiny seed from which grows a huge tree. The Kingdom of God spreads and grows bigger and bigger.
In God’s Kingdom, things are not like they are under an earthly king; Jesus the Messiah is the Saviour King; He rules with fairness, justice, love, and mercy.
