Small Decision, Big Impact!Exemplo
Nothing happens just by looking...
You must have been really sick at some time in your life, right?
Your doctor probably prescribed medicine for you. And let's be honest, sometimes it just stands there before we take it. And only when we feel really bad do we open the pack because we realize that just looking at it doesn't have any effect.
In battling my eating disorder, having the Word of God within me was so important to me. And actually, that is the greatest protection of my life! Because I also notice very quickly that I falter if I let my Bible time go slack for a while.
My self-doubt, fears and worries are suddenly bigger again. I become insecure because we can never be sure without God. That's why we need this liberating truth every day! The Bible says it so clearly:
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 NIV)
People—friends—can help you to survive, but God's help lets you live in pure freedom!
That's why it's so important for me to say to you today: Don't treat the Bible like you treat medicine. Don't just put it in the closet. We often wait for God to speak to us but do not open the Bible.
Maybe you've never done that, maybe it only happens once in a while, and you're wondering why you are struggling in your life.
Just like medicine, which sometimes takes a really long time to work, be patient. Because when the medicine kicks in, you'll feel better. Believe me, what medicine can do, God can do—in the best way.
Make the decision to reach for the truth today, because it will set you free! Guaranteed!
You are a miracle!
