He is risen 

Although we will have to wait for Easter Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus in church, in a sense every day is resurrection day! Jesus was raised from physical death to the power of a new eternal life and we are raised by the same Spirit to new life in Him. That resurrection life flows in and through us every day!

Although many people accept that Jesus was a remarkable historical figure they doubt the story of the resurrection. However, some sceptics have investigated evidence for the resurrection including notes by historians of the time and have concluded that the Bible is a true and accurate record of a supernatural event.

Ultimately it is a matter of faith; not “blind faith” but a faith based on the Biblical account of eyewitness testimony and a personal encounter with the resurrected Jesus by millions of people over thousands of years.

Jesus will always be the Lamb sacrificed for our sins but now He sits on the throne with our Father in heaven worthy of glory, praise and honour (Rev.5). One day we will see and be with Him, either through the doorway of death or upon His return to earth. Worthy is the Lamb!
