The Victories Of Christ For The Believer Sample

The Victories Of Christ For The Believer

DAY 3 OF 9

Victory Over Satan

This is the second pillar of the victories of Christ for the believer. When God created Adam and Eve, man was in communion with God under His kingdom and domain. Satan provoked man to sin, and at the same time, sin provoked separation of man from God, which was death. Sin entered the world because of one man, which also extended death to everyone. What happened when man sinned is that man went from being under God’s domain to being under Satan’s domain, which John explains in his first letter.

Paul writes in the book of 2nd Corinthians: And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. This means that we are under the enemy’s domain. It happened with humans and every person who has not accepted Christ as their Savior and who is not a new creation.

What happens when a person believes in the gospel and in Christ? God frees them from the power of darkness and transfers them automatically to the kingdom of His Beloved Son. Whoever trusts in Christ is no longer under Satan’s authority but now Christ has power over his or her life.

When Christ went to the cross, with His death He paid God for all of our sins, removing all obstacles so that not only could we be part of Christ’s kingdom but have fellowship with God. He has redeemed us through His blood, forgiven all sins, and removed us from any power Satan had over us.

As Christians, in God’s kingdom, we have access to His divine power to overcome Satan. It is a privilege we have, and people who do not have Christ do not have such power. In Ephesians 1:19-21, Paul says: “… and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.”

About this Plan

The Victories Of Christ For The Believer

In this nine-day devotional, we will emphasize the Victories of Christ in three core pillars: 1) victory over eternal death, 2) victory over Satan, and 3) victory over the slavery of sin. Many times we find ourselves trying to fight a battle that Christ already won on the cross; thus, it’s necessary to know the victory that He has given us.
