No one likes to fight. Your heart beats fast, your face gets warm, and you’re suddenly full of emotion. It’s not fun! For many of us, our fights are longer than they need to be because we’re going about them the wrong way. The quickest way to win an argument isn’t to be right; it’s to understand. When you show someone you want to understand where they’re coming from, it makes them less likely to want to stay in the battle with you. So, if you find yourself in a fight this week, try talking less, listening more, and working to understand where the other person is coming from. That’s the real way to win.
