Though it’s one of the most quoted verses in the Bible, actually following this command isn’t as easy as it sounds. Loving ourselves is certainly difficult at times, and that makes loving the people around you in the same way you love yourself seem nearly impossible. One of the ways we can begin to love both others and ourselves the way God calls us to is to learn to see each other through God’s eyes. And how does God see us? Through a lens of unconditional love. When we see ourselves the way He does, we can love ourselves (and others!) the way He does, too. This week, make a list of all the things you love about yourself. Then pray that God would help you see more and more things to add to that list every single day, helping you to love yourself, and in turn, love others the way He loves us all.
