The Wisdom Of The Teacher For College Students, Ch. 2Sample
Is our life measured by the quality and quantity of our possessions? Does obtaining the American Dream make us truly happy? Will you find meaning in having the family, the house, the cars, and the bank account after college?
In our look at the Teacher’s life, we find him trying to find meaning in the achievement of his personal dreams. He built the houses! He had the fine gardens. He had his country home and retreat. He had waterfront property even in the desert! He had the fruit groves and enough personnel to take care of all of it without him having to lift a finger. He had the livestock and the investments along with plenty of cash in the bank.
By the standards of our society, he was one of the richest and most successful men of his day! He threw the best parties with all the celebrity singers and even had an entourage of women with him when he went to the clubs of his day.
That may seem like the life to you or to your friends on campus. It’s what most are dreaming of when they get their degrees and go out to conquer the world. But is this the key to the meaning of life? Tomorrow the teacher will tell us the answer!

About this Plan
The journey to discover the meaning of life continues with Chapter Two of the book of Ecclesiastes. For the next five days we shall join the Teacher on the exploration of life in pursuit of what provides ultimate meaning. The student on campus today will find striking parallels to the searches popular among their peers on the pages of this wonderful book of the Bible.
