The Wisdom Of The Teacher For College Students, Ch. 2Sample

You are probably too young to be thinking about who is going to get all that you work for in life. You may have inherited something from your grandparents or parents who have passed away and been the beneficiary of their hard work and toil.
That’s where the Teacher found himself in these verses. He realized that all his work would produce things that would go to someone who had done nothing to earn it. This caused an even deeper despair to set in for the Teacher.
Yet in verse 24 we find the first part of the answer that will be scattered throughout our journey of learning from the Teacher. Simply learning to enjoy what God gives you is the first step to finding true meaning in life.
He then points out that we can’t really enjoy it apart from a relationship with God.
Do you find contentment in the simple things of life? The everyday things like eating and spending time with people or a good book? Finding joy in the mundane can be a challenge. But the wisdom from the Teacher points out that this is the first step in finding the real meaning of life!

About this Plan

The journey to discover the meaning of life continues with Chapter Two of the book of Ecclesiastes. For the next five days we shall join the Teacher on the exploration of life in pursuit of what provides ultimate meaning. The student on campus today will find striking parallels to the searches popular among their peers on the pages of this wonderful book of the Bible.
