Passion 2019 Reading Plan Sample

It’s so easy for us to get caught up trying to become something we are not. We live in a world where we have the ability to mold and filter our image into almost anything we want, and we often choose a facade that is nearly impossible to keep up. It’s one of the biggest ploys of the enemy—to rob us of our authentic selves. To make us think we aren’t good enough the way we are; to bury our God-given light under a covering of shame and unworthiness. When we listen to the enemy’s lies, we let him steal from us the fullness of life that Jesus purchased for us.

The enemy understands that we cannot be a world-shaking force for Jesus if we’re paralyzed by guilt, comparison and shame. If he can convince us that we’ll never be able to look good enough or act good enough, he can keep us trapped in a less-than life.  But, Jesus came to offer us life at 100%, living and operating in the truest form of who He created us to be. He took our guilt and shame on Himself so we could walk in freedom, confident and called to carry out His purposes.

So, let’s look around us at all the opportunities we have to live life to the full. God is not a God of less. For each and every one of us, there is always more.
