Is there someone hard to show kindness to in your life? It could be that new kid on your sports team, a younger sibling who’s always in your business, or even someone in your small group who talks the whole time.
The reality is that other people won’t always motivate us to be kind, gentle, or humble. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still make an effort to treat others well. Here’s the good news though: We don’t have to make the effort all on our own! In fact, because God loves you and promises to meet your needs, with His help, you really can love others exactly where they are. Sometimes God uses others to help us show kindness toward others.
Today, reach out to your Small Group Leader and talk to them about the person you’re struggling with right now. Ask them to check in after a few days and see how it’s going with that person.

It’s easy to see faith as just a list of dos and don’ts we have to keep in order to make God happy. But what if this view of faith is missing the mark?
