What you say can be used for good or for bad—for building up others or for tearing them down. How have you seen this play out in your own life? Have you said something you regret that hurt another person? Or maybe you were on the receiving end of those hurtful words. The reality is that words can hurt terribly. We all know this! But if you are the one using the hurtful words, in the end you will see the fallout that often comes with them. But don’t be discouraged. It doesn’t have to be that way! God doesn’t want that for you! So make a point to live out your faith in how you talk this week. Ask God to let the words that come out of your mouth be encouraging and helpful rather than discouraging and hurtful.
