What comes to mind when you think about training for something physical? Maybe it’s to make the basketball team, run a faster lap around the track, or even to beat your older sibling in a race. No matter what we train for, when we devote our energies to getting stronger physically, we try to do the things consistently that we know will get us there. Things like getting more sleep, eating right, and exercising harder all have a way of helping us get stronger. Paul tells us in today’s verse that training to become more like Jesus is even better — and it will last beyond just this life! How can you focus this week on becoming a stronger follower of Christ? Talk with someone whose faith inspires you and come up with an action plan to grow in your faith.
