The 5-Minute Bible Reading Plan And Devotional: ActsSample

Persecuted for Christ
Jesus had promised His disciples that if religious foes persecuted Him, they would persecute them as well—and this now happened to them. After being beaten, the disciples rejoiced that they’d been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for Jesus (John 15;18–20; Acts 5:40–41). Are you suffering persecution or insults for His sake? At times it’s very painful or embarrassing. It can cost you friends and relationships, but you have to stand up for what you believe in. If you do, the Lord will reward you greatly (Luke 6:22–23).
