Love God Greatly - Psalm 119Sample

The Lord’s desire is that we reflect Him here on earth until He returns. Every spiritual lesson we learn and Scripture passage we read should be incorporated into our lives and shared with others. The end result will not only be our own spiritual growth, but that others will have these multiple glimpses and encounters with Jesus and desire Him for themselves. Even when we fail in the presence of others, the way that we repent, recover, and continue to praise God can cause people to want to surrender their lives to the Lord. Christians are role models whether we chose it or not, whether as a positive or negative one. We must be diligent to represent Christ well.
Does your life reflect God’s power at work? When people see and speak to you, do they experience the love, mercy, and truth of God?
Father God, I thank You for the honor and privilege of serving You, of learning from You, and of growing in You. Lord, I feel anxious when faced with the thought of being a role model because the responsibility seems too great. However, I realize that whether people witness my successes or my failures, my responsibility is to glorify and honor You through it all. Allow Your light to shine through me at all times. Allow my flesh to decrease so that You might be magnified in the eyes of those watching me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Woven throughout this longest chapter of the Bible are beautiful character qualities of Scripture, reminding us that God’s Word is sufficient, truthful, pure, authoritative, and unchanging. But when we look to God himself – we see how his character is reflected in this chapter as well. This Bible study gives us a glimpse into the beauty, importance, and usefulness of Scripture, prompting us to walk away more in love with God and his Word, more aware of our sin, and more in awe of our great Savior and his sacrifice on our behalf.
