"Sexodus" Relationships DevotionalSample
The Right Place
If you obey God, it will never take you to the wrong place. The spies in this chapter had missed one crucial understanding behind their scouting of the land. God had brought them there so the question wasn't 'are we in the right place' but rather 'do we trust God enough and do we have the courage to follow through with this?' That's nearly always the case with us in life and in marriage as well. The question isn't whether or not God wants us to turn around - the question is are we united and brave enough to keep going when it hurts? The reward for those who continue strong is great; the punishment for cowering out is also great.
Talk with your future spouse about this passage and how it might apply to being married.
