Scattered: Doing Life as the Ministry Sent OutSample
The recent events in our world have pointed out the true uncertainty of it. We all like to think we are in control, but deep down we know that we have real control over so little.
Much like the nation of Israel long ago, the church finds itself scattered by a pandemic. While there’s no way to know for certain what caused the people of Israel to feel like they were scattered among the nations, they knew what it felt like to be objects of scorn because of their belief in God.
Perhaps you have felt that way, too, over the last few days, weeks, or months. A worldwide crisis tends to have that effect on even the bravest among us. Those of us who are believers in God find ourselves defending our belief in a loving and powerful God who rescues His people.
Just like the psalm of lament that we read today, we can feel abandoned and alone as well. Let us hold onto the last lines of the psalm. Rise Up! Help Us! Redeem us because of your FAITHFUL LOVE.
When you cannot know His plan in the moment, trust in His Unfailing Love for His people! Perhaps He has scattered the church in order to deepen our trust in Him!

About this Plan
Life has changed in early 2020! We have been SCATTERED from our usual location of communities of faith due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Can we find a purpose in the disruption? Is this the first time God's people have been SCATTERED? What can we learn from this season of disruption? Could God have a greater purpose for the church during this season?
