Seeing God: Job’s Suffering and God’s WisdomSample
Day 5: Patience in Suffering
Consider
In his grief, Job didn’t think he could trust God, but God proved that He is in control of the universe, He cares for the world, and He knows us in our most individual moments. Through Job’s encounter, we can all look toward what God is bringing about in His grace, and we can rest in the promise that our God is full of compassion and mercy!
Are you willing to trust God as Job learned to do? Do you see a hint of what God is accomplishing through your suffering, or are you still trusting Him in the dark?
Pray
Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to remember that You are full of compassion and mercy. Remind us of this truth when we most need to hear it. Help us to lean on You as we walk through hard things, and show us what You are bringing about through our circumstances.
