I Did It God’s Way

Isaiah 55:8

I do not work the same way you do.

Isaac married Rebekah and she became pregnant with twins. While pregnant, the twins in her tummy tumbled and kicked each other. When Rebekah asked the Lord why the two babies kicked one another, God said that it was because the older son Esau, would serve the younger one, Jacob. 

However, Isaac tried to do things his way by placing the blessing on Esau, whom he favored. Eventually, God’s plan took place, and Jacob was the one who was blessed with the birthright. 

Kids, when God speaks to you and asks you to do something for Him, you can either cooperate with His sovereign plan and be blessed, or you can resist and He will set you aside and raise up someone else to fulfill it. His purpose never fails. Let us follow God’s will and do it His way.

Prayer

Dear God, help me to follow Your ways as You lead me into a life of fruitfulness and joy. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
