River Valley Church SOAP - Part 7Sample

Psalm 3 is a great example of how some of these poems are structured. The middle of this Psalm talks about how the Lord sustained David, while the beginning and end illustrate his enemies overtaking him and the Lord saving him. Psalm 4 has a similar structure, where the climax of the poem happens in the middle when it talks about the Lord hearing David when he calls to Him. This type of structure is all over the Psalms, so as we read them it’s helpful to read a few times and pay close attention to how they’re written.
