River Valley Church SOAP - Part 7Sample

One of the key areas to notice in Psalms of David like Psalms 5-6 is emotion. The writing illustrates a real internal struggle and David wonders if God will help him in his hardships. David’s Psalms display a wide range of emotion including sadness, anger, happiness and joy. Part of what these poems are doing are inviting us along for the journey of maturing in our view of God, and helping us see that God’s presence is with us in the highs and lows of life.
