River Valley Church SOAP - Part 7Sample

Psalms 7-9 pick up and expand upon some common themes we’ve seen already. If you look back to Psalm 1, it discusses the difference between the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked. Psalm 7 is a long poem asking God to stop the way of the wicked and establish those who are righteous. Psalm 8 is very worshipful, talking about God’s splendor and majesty and contrasting that with how much He cares for human beings. Psalm 9 unpacks the theme of God’s judgement, asking God to make Himself known to the world.
