In times of trial, tribulation and persecution, God provides shelter and refuge. When David’s heart was faint, he asks to be led to the rock that is higher than mankind. A rock that is a strong tower against the enemy. David praises God in saying He alone is his rock and his salvation. God is our refuge and rescuer. We must pray as David prays in these psalms: to desperately desire God’s power and presence in our lives.

SOAP is the daily devotional plan at River Valley Church. SOAP is a simple process that includes reading a selected passage of Scripture, writing down an Observation or two, committing to an Application, and engaging in Prayer. This is part 7 of a 12 part plan.
