SOAP – 1 John 5:14
John shares a wonderful promise with believers…the promise that God hears those who love Him. Many believers lose hope and wonder whether the circumstances that we face are even noticed. But God promises that because of His great love for us and because of Jesus’ resurrection, we have His constant presence, a new hope, a brand new life, and a future inheritance in heaven.

What attacks of your mind and heart threaten to keep you from believing that God hears your prayers? Will you pray today for assurance of His promises in His Word?

Father God, I thank You that I am significant to You. I thank You that You hear me. Lord, help me trust Your promises in Your Word. Let my heart not be swayed by the answer I may receive from You, but only by Your promise that You hear me and You care. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
