Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 13 of 20
With these words, Jesus announces the beginning of his public ministry. The promises are incredible: “good news to the poor…freedom for the prisoners…recovery of sight for the blind…set the oppressed free”. Good news indeed! Anointed by the Spirit, and proclaiming a season of the Lord’s favour, Jesus would go on to fulfil these promises and more. Where do we, in our lives and our communities today, need Jesus to announce the good news of his coming?

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
