Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 14 of 20
I wonder if Jesus’ priority of the lost and the sinner over the righteous who are safe shocks and outrageous us? Is there a danger that too much of our time and effort as Christians is spent ministering to the righteous, rather than seeking and saving the lost? Jesus’ example as the good shepherd who goes looking for the lost, seeking to draw sinners to repentance should mark our churches and our activity. Who do we know that is lost today, that needs to know God loves them and has come looking for them in Jesus?

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
