Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 16 of 20
The gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be silenced. Peter and John recognised the choice before them: to obey God – and speak of Jesus – or to obey the religious rulers – and keep silent about Jesus. They declare their inability to keep the gospel to themselves: “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard”. Is there our experience? That we are so amazed by what we have seen and heard in Christ, that we cannot stop talking about it? Pray for boldness and protection today for all Christians around the world who speak of Christ, despite the risks.

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
