River Valley Church SOAP - Part 10Sample
Luke sets out to investigate the eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus and His followers. He composes two volumes, which have become the books of Luke and Acts. Luke sets up a parallel here with Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth to Abraham and Sarah. He continues with the story of the birth of Jesus as a fulfillment of what Israel’s prophets said about a savior for their nation. Jesus isn’t born into an honored family as one would expect for Israel’s savior. Rather, He’s born to a young virgin named Mary.
Mauritius is home to many different ethnic groups, from Indonesian, Creole, and Chinese, to European. Let's pray that this country would be unified in its diversity, and that Christian organizations in these groups would find creative ways to spread the gospel down to the very last person.
