King Uzziah became the tenth King of Judah and reigned from 792-740 B.C.  In a vision, Uzziah sees seraphim, one of two chosen types of angels, who were allowed to be around the throne of God.  Cherubim had one pair of wings and stood around the throne. Seraphim had multiple wings and flew over the throne.  Uzziah recognizes that he is unclean and asks for the coal to cleanse his mouth; he acknowledges that his praise to God was unclean. In Chapter 7, Ahaz, the grandson of Uzziah, went to battle against Jerusalem. Isaiah the prophet then speaks to the world of the Lord to Ahaz that God will give him a sign, and that sign will be that a virgin will have a child whose name shall be Immanuel, speaking of Jesus the Messiah.

Jordan is home to around 220,000 Christians, 2.2% of the population. Let's pray that Christianity may be held in high regard, so that the Lord's strategy in this region would not be frustrated.
