WHO ARE YOU?Sample
The gospel message centres on the reality of a “transfer.” It works like this: Jesus transferred our sins to himself and died with them – killing them off so they no longer keep us from God’s presence. But that was not the end. The transfer continued, but now from the opposite direction: Christ’s righteousness was transferred to us. Wow!
The apostle Paul spells out the significance of this for you. He says your old sinful self has been buried, i.e. killed off in Jesus and put in the grave. Wonderfully, he goes on to say that because we choose to give ourselves to Jesus, we will be resurrected with him to eternal life. This will happen when God wraps up this imperfect existence before the main act: his eternal kingdom.
The reality is: you have been buried and will be raised with Jesus. (Colossians 2:9-12)
Rejoice in it!
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I am lost for words. Your love was such that you were willing to exchange your holiness for my sinfulness. You took the punishment that should have been mine, enabling me to take the place you reserved for me in your kingdom.
You are wonderful!

About this Plan
Jesus asked the question: “Who do people say that I am?” (Mark 8:7) Our entire life and destiny hinges on the answer. So, let’s look at the seven “I am” sayings of Jesus – and then explore their implications for us, through the “you are” statements in the New Testament.
