Walk Through the Bible 365 - AprilSample

A One Generation Faith
Have you ever thought about the fact that faith has no grandchildren? The Christian faith can grind to a halt in a single generation. That's what happened after Joshua. For some reason, the people didn't share the stories of God's glory, wonder, grace and provision with each other. The law was forgotten. Tabernacle worship was too cumbersome. And the nation descended into chaos. What are we doing to build and nurture the next generation?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to communicate a vibrant, living faith to my children and the next generation I see each day. May my words reflect your work, grace, love and mercy in my own life. May I be honest about my failures and times I've sinned against you so the next generation can learn. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
