Walk Through the Bible 365 - AprilSample

Influenced By Whom?
The nations surrounding the Israelites in the land of Canaan were the Philistines, the Moabites, the Ammonites and the Sidonites. These nations worshipped idols and false Gods. Unfortunately, time and again, the Israelites were influenced by their neighbours and fell into the trap of worshipping their Baals and false Gods. What about us today? We are surrounded by unbelieving people in our society and their values and practices are often opposed to those of Christ. Are we influenced by our society and culture in the way we live or do we keep Biblical principles and standards as our way of life?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are sorry for falling under the influence of our society in our way of life and not keeping to your standards. Please forgive us and strengthen us so that we live according to your word and not according to the ways of the world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
