River Valley Church New Testament Soap Sprint Sample
This part of Corinthians addresses the format of church gatherings among the believers in Corinth. Many are disorderly, with people interrupting and talking over one another in a way that confuses and obscures any Scriptural teaching or encouraging word. Paul uses the metaphor of a body to display how we all have different gifts and need to use them to build the church, not for our own desires or power-posturing. He also says that all of the believers' gatherings and relationships need to be centered on love. Love is the most important motivation for the various expressions of how we exercise our individually-apportioned spiritual gifts. Lastly, he writes about the resurrection of Jesus and how it is an indispensable climax of the gospel.
