River Valley Church New Testament Soap Sprint Sample

Jesus challenges His followers not to merely continue obeying the Mosaic law out of obligation or religious tradition. Instead, Jesus continually showed His concern about His disciples' heart-level motivations by challenging their assumptions and asking questions to reveal the “why” behind their behavior. He also modeled humble leadership by delegating His power and authority to perform supernatural miracles, continually emphasizing that these spectacular feats were not dependent on the people who worked them, but rather on the goodness and kindness of God toward all people.
