Change: Coping & Embracing Life’s ChallengesSample

Day 5: Moving From CHANGE to Stability
Our world is changing all the time. Nothing is really constant and dependable. We become anxious because we do not know what will happen today or tomorrow. Take a deep breath and imagine Jesus holding all of your stuff and you.
It’s important to have a few consistent rhythms and routines of grace that offer stability and security for ourselves. While you cannot prevent change from happening, you can lean on things that anchor you in the midst of confusion and chaos. Jesus, in the midst of ministry, busyness, and the demands of his followers took time away in solitude to pray.
Jesus in His love and commitment towards us is constant and unchanging. We anchor ourselves in this truth when things get shaky.
PRAYER:
God, while everything in my life will continue to change, help me to be anchored in this reality: You are constant, reliable, and consistent.
NEXT STEP:
While things can and will continue to change, make a commitment to daily solitude and prayer to anchor your life.
