What a great consolation for the disciples to know Jesus was coming back for them. There is a promise of the life that emanates from His resurrection (19). This is followed by an interesting tangle of love, obedience (21), and fellowship (20) between the Father, Son, and the disciples.  Finally, there also is a unique revelation to those who are caught up in this love-obedience bond.  Jesus ends the passage by saying, “I shall manifest myself to him.” They get to see the Son of God in all His glory and majesty.

Dear sister, brother! Can you imagine yourself caught up in this tangle with the divinity? There is giving and receiving. 

What do you have to offer? You just love God and obey Him.

Prayer:

Jesus, I want to be with you. Wrap me with your circle of love and reveal more of you and the love of God the Father. 

Jesus might say….. 

My child, join me and our Father along with other people of God to glorify the Father by our unity. We shall rejoice.
