Who Needs God Anyway?

DAY 1 OF 4

People

Welcome to this series! We are spending time in Mark 8:22-26, the story about Jesus healing a blind man. You will see how the details of this story will change the way you look at certain parts of your spiritual journey.

“Who needs God anyway?” We live in a world where a sentiment like this is quite common among people. So, in a world where you will be in contact with many people who have this view, it is even more important to also surround ourselves with friends who are the opposite; people who might ask: “How can I be a friend for others who need Jesus?”

In Mark 8:22-26, we see people bringing a man to Jesus, begging Him to heal the man. We all need people in our lives that "take us" to Jesus and beg Him to heal us. Do you have people in your life who do that for you?

The guidelines in the Bible show us that this is a way how we experience God - through people He sends over our path.

People who pray for us, bring us to the throne of Jesus and intercede in situations in our life.

If you feel that something is lacking in your spiritual life, it can be that you do not have enough people around you who help you through support and prayer.

You can ask yourself: do I have people in my life who I can talk to about the spiritual side of life and who pray for me daily?

The next step is to ask, am I a person like this? Do people around me know that I intercede for them and support them spiritually?

This is the first step toward answering who needs God anyway!

Day 2

About this Plan

Who Needs God Anyway?

We believe that in the times we live in, we need God just as much (if not more) than we realize. We focus on four themes that show us what we need in our lives every day, and it all comes from God. We need People. We need a Path. We need a Process. We need God's Power.
