Who Needs God Anyway?Sample

Power of God

In a world where people have many questions about Christianity, a world where many people are hurting, we have to rely on a source more powerful than ourselves for inspiration and guidance. People around us don’t need good versions of ourselves. They need the power of God. Are you plugged into the source?

We are busy with the story in Mark 8:22-26 where Jesus heals a blind man. 

Try and put yourself in the shoes of his friends or the people coming to Jesus, begging Him to heal the man. What do you think this encounter was like? Do you have the faith that God was actually going to heal this man? 

On another occasion in the Bible, where four friends bring a paralyzed man to Jesus (Luke 5), He sees the faith of the friends and heals the man. They expected that God is going to do something big and believed that He could.  

Think about the times in your own life where you experienced the power of God. The miracles He uses show us that He is in control and capable of anything. 

We need to show the world that they need God and His power. Expecting Him to do miracles in our lives for His glory and that we can testify to who He is. Not for our own gain, but so that the world may see who the one true God is. 

What miracles and power do you need in your life and the lives of the people around you?
