The Bread Of Life

I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty.  John 6:35

During those days, bread was the main food the people consumed. On that day, Jesus was teaching His disciples and He said, “I am the bread of life.”

Bread can satisfy our hunger, give us strength or sustain us to keep us alive. This is what Jesus means when He says He is the bread of life. Jesus wants us to know that only He can satisfy our needs and hunger. Only Jesus can give us strength when we feel weak or tired. Only Jesus can sustain us no matter how hard our circumstance is. It is not gummy bears or French fries or chips that satisfy. It is merely Jesus.

So, Jesus does not only offer supernatural water, but He is giving us the bread of life, which is Himself! The conclusion is if we have Jesus, we have everything. With Jesus, our heart will never feel hungry or thirsty anymore, because He satisfies our hearts with His goodness and love.

Dear Jesus, You are everything I need that can satisfy my heart. I need You more than anything in my life. Amen.
